History:  Formed in 2008, CUMMINGS & CUMMINGS LLC specializes in leading small and mid-size companies through expansion or improvement of their existing processes and operations. CUMMINGS & CUMMINGS LLC employs a variety of proven methodologies aimed at supporting businesses with designing corporate structure, implementing business practices, and preparing proposals.

About the Owner:  Edna W. Cummings is a retired Army colonel with more than 20 years of federal and state experience. She established a solid reputation of successfully responding to challenges, building teams, and ‘getting the job done’ in critical areas –

  • Homeland Security (Emergency Response)
  • Human Capital Management
  • Information Technology (Policy and Portfolio Management)

Colonel (Retired) Cummings’ substantial military experience includes assignments at Fort Rucker, AL, Uijongbu Korea and Fort Bragg, NC.  Some of her other assignments were:

  • Chief, Reserve Integration (Transition Team Member), USNORAD/USNORTHCOM, Colorado Springs, CO
  • Deputy Chief, Consequence Management and Integration Office* , Army G-3;  and Chief, Emergency Operations, Office Chief Army Reserve, Pentagon, Washington DC
  • Assistant Professor of Military Science, Georgetown University, Washington, DC
  • Military Support to Civilian Authorities Officer and Personnel Officer, Response Task Force - East First US Army, Fort Gillem, GA
    *this office trained, manned and equipped the initial Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Teams

Her consistent and effective leadership transitioned with her into a civilian career where she continues to support organizations at the highest levels of national defense and security.

Ms Cummings holds Masters Degrees in Strategic Studies, Army War College, Carlisle, PA; Foundations of Education, Troy State University, Troy, AL and BS in Social Studies Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C. She has also completed completing graduate studies in Conflict Resolution and extensive leadership and management training.
